About Virobit · Founded 2024 · Dallas, TX

We're on a mission to
un-rip-off American industry.

1·founder + a trusted network
1·product live & open source
4·products in private build
$0·required fees after hand-off

The software running America's utilities, warehouses, telecoms, field service companies, and insurance carriers was built 15–25 years ago. It costs a fortune, requires consultants to operate, and hasn't meaningfully changed. We built Virobit to fix that — one industry at a time.

the origin

Born from a simple question:
why rent bad software forever?

Virobit is a founder-led software studio in Dallas, working with a trusted network of engineers for development and audit work — no org chart, no committee. It started the way most honest software does: building something the founder actually wanted to exist. That was Drift — a terminal-first, end-to-end-encrypted messenger — shipped and open-sourced so anyone could verify the crypto instead of taking our word for it.

Then came the research rabbit hole: small utilities paying $20,000+ a year for billing software built in 2001. Warehouses quoted five figures annually for inventory tracking. ISPs whose billing platform costs more than the rest of their rack combined. Essential American infrastructure, renting decades-old tools forever — not because operators want it, but because switching feels too risky to try.

So that's the mission now: scope a purpose-built replacement, quote one fixed price, build it, and hand over the source. No named customers yet — the industry line is new, and we'd rather show you modeled numbers than invented logos. We're just getting started, and we're saying so out loud.

A short, true timeline. No inflated milestones — the interesting parts are still ahead, and you can watch them happen.

January 2024
Incorporated in Dallas
Virobit LLC founded. Founder-led, bootstrapped, no outside money. The thesis: software you rent forever is a bug, not a business model.
Drift ships
First product, live & open source
A terminal-first, end-to-end-encrypted messenger — published on GitHub so the security claims can be verified in source instead of taken on faith.
2025–2026
Four products enter private build
Collab Co, FixBid, Property Management, and Warehouse Management — kept private until they're genuinely good, previews deliberately light.
2026 — Right now
The industry line opens
Scoped legacy rebuilds for utilities, warehousing, telecom, field services, and insurance. Zero named customers so far — the first one gets the first real case study on this site.
our principles

What we actually believe in

Not buzzwords on a wall. Actual decisions we've made that cost us something.

01
ownership
You own it. Always.
Every rebuild ships with its source code, its data in open formats, and documentation written for your system. Leaving us costs nothing, because after hand-off there's nothing to leave. That's the whole point.
02
honesty
No invented logos.
This site has zero fake customers, zero fabricated press quotes, and a status page that admits it's updated by hand. Empty sections stay empty until something real fills them. Judge us on that.
03
parity
Your workflows, rebuilt.
We don't sell you a new way to work. The scoped build recreates the workflows you already have — screen by screen — on modern infrastructure, and proves itself in parallel test runs against your real data before cutover.
04
verify
Verify, don't trust.
Drift's encryption is open source because "trust us" isn't a security model. Rebuild quotes work the same way: we model your numbers in front of you, from your actual costs — not from a slide deck.

Founder-led
(plus a trusted network)

No org chart, no headshots wall. When you email Virobit, the person who answers is the person responsible for your build.

The Founder
Engineering, product, scoping calls, and the coffee run
Leads everything Virobit ships — Drift in the open, four products in private, and every client rebuild — with development and audit work supported by a trusted network of engineers the founder works with directly. Deliberately no bigger than that until the work demands otherwise. Want to talk to the person who'd actually be responsible for your system? That's who replies at hello@virobit.dev.
