general questions
What exactly is Virobit?+
Virobit is a Dallas-based SaaS company that builds purpose-built replacements for expensive legacy software used in utilities, warehousing, telecom, field services, and insurance. We focus on industries where the incumbent software is 10–20 years old and priced for Fortune 500 budgets — and we offer modern, cloud-native alternatives at 80–90% lower cost.
How does Virobit compare to the big-name vendors?+
Enterprise vendors like Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and Harris charge six-figure annual fees, require long implementation timelines, and lock you into multi-year contracts. Virobit is purpose-built for small and mid-size operations — our entire product philosophy is "everything you need, nothing you don't." Most customers go live in under a week at a fraction of the cost.
Which industries does Virobit serve?+
Virobit currently serves five verticals: utilities (water, electric, gas, wastewater), warehousing and distribution, telecom and ISPs, field service contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.), and insurance carriers and MGAs. We're expanding to additional verticals in 2027.
Is Virobit a cloud-based product?+
Yes. All Virobit products are 100% cloud-hosted. There's nothing to install, no servers to maintain, and no IT team required. You access the platform through a web browser or our mobile app. We handle all hosting, backups, and security updates.
Do I need technical knowledge to use Virobit?+
No. Virobit is designed for operations teams, not developers. Configuration uses visual editors, not code. If you can use a spreadsheet, you can use Virobit. For API-based integrations, our team handles the setup — or you can use our developer documentation if you prefer to DIY.
pricing & billing
How much does Virobit cost?+
Plans start at $299/month. Each product has its own Starter ($299/mo), Growth ($599/mo), and Enterprise (custom) tiers. All plans include data migration, onboarding, and support. There are no per-user fees, no setup charges, and no hidden add-ons. See individual product pages for plan details.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. We offer a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required. Our onboarding team will help you set up with your real data so you can evaluate Virobit accurately — a sandbox environment isn't a realistic test.
Can I cancel at any time?+
Yes. All Virobit plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice. We'll export all your data in standard formats so you can take it anywhere. We don't believe in lock-in — if we're not delivering value, you shouldn't stay.
Are there annual pricing discounts?+
Yes. Customers who pay annually receive a 15% discount versus the monthly rate. Annual plans are still cancellable, and unused months are refunded on a pro-rated basis. Contact sales to discuss annual billing options.
setup & migration
How does the migration process work?+
Our migration team handles the entire data transfer. The typical process: (1) you export data from your current system in CSV format or grant us read-only API access; (2) we map, clean, and import your data into Virobit; (3) we run parallel operations or validation tests; (4) you approve the migration and go live. Most customers complete this in 2–7 days depending on data complexity.
What legacy systems have you migrated from?+
We've migrated from hundreds of systems including Harris, Incode, Cogsdale, Amdocs, CSG, WinBill, GreenLight, ServiceTitan, ServiceMax, ICOMS, and dozens of custom or in-house applications. If it can export to CSV or has a documented API, we can migrate from it.
Will there be any downtime during the switch?+
Typically zero. We run both systems in parallel during the transition period. The cutover is a scheduled event during off-hours when your team is ready. For real-time systems like utility billing or dispatch, we coordinate the cutover during your lowest-activity window.
security & compliance
Where is my data stored?+
All data is stored in US-based data centers (AWS us-east-1 primary, us-west-2 failover). Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. We maintain daily encrypted backups with 30-day retention and can provide data residency certificates on request.
Is Virobit SOC 2 compliant?+
Virobit is SOC 2 Type II certified. We also maintain HIPAA compliance for healthcare-adjacent customers, and our insurance product includes controls for NAIC data security model law compliance. Annual penetration tests are conducted by third-party security firms. Contact us for audit reports under NDA.
Who has access to my data?+
Only you and users you authorize. Virobit employees cannot access your customer data without your explicit permission (except in extreme support scenarios, logged and auditable). We never share, sell, or use your operational data for any purpose other than operating the platform for you.
support & service
What support is included?+
All plans include email and in-app chat support with a 4-business-hour first response SLA. Growth plans include priority support with a 2-hour SLA and access to our dedicated onboarding team. Enterprise plans include a dedicated account manager, phone support, and custom SLA terms.
What are your support hours?+
Email and chat support is available Monday–Friday, 8 AM–6 PM Central. Emergency support for P1 issues (system outages affecting billing or dispatch) is available 24/7 for all plans. Enterprise customers have access to dedicated phone support during extended hours.
Do you offer training?+
Yes. All plans include onboarding sessions via screen share. Growth plans include a structured 30-day onboarding program with role-based training tracks. Enterprise plans include on-site training at your facility. We also maintain a comprehensive help center with video walkthroughs and written guides.
